WHO IS AVA DUEL?

Youth Ambassador at Away We Go

Ava Duel is a neurodivergent entrepreneur and the first Youth Ambassador for Away We Go. A graduate of Loyola Marymount University, she is the founder of Nuro Apparel, a clothing brand specializing in sensory-friendly hoodies designed to support the comfort and confidence of neurodivergent individuals. Her work centers on creating clothing that honors sensory needs without sacrificing style or self-expression. Through Nuro Apparel, Ava is building a community that celebrates neurodivergent identity and encourages people to feel seen, safe, and self-assured in what they wear.

Now based in St. Louis, Ava is focused on growing Nuro Apparel while continuing to use her neurodivergent perspective to solve creative problems and challenge deficit-based views of neurodiversity. She has shared her journey and business insights on platforms such as the ADHD Freedoms Podcast and PitchSTL, highlighting the quiet power of not fitting in and the importance of inclusive, sensory-aware design. In her speaking and storytelling, Ava emphasizes sustainable, human-centered approaches to entrepreneurship that prioritize mental health, access, and authenticity. Her vision is to help reshape how the world understands neurodivergence—moving from stigma to strength, from accommodation to genuine belonging.

We are excited to welcome Ava to the Away We Go team and to collaborate with her as we deepen our commitment to neurodivergent-centered, creative, and therapeutic arts experiences.
