who is JASON QU?

Jason Qu is a filmmaker specializing in picture editing and production sound mixing. He serves as an editing fellow at the American Film Institute Conservatory (AFI) and is a recipient of the 2026 Canva Fellowship. He earned his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television from the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), graduating with Summa Cum Laude honors. 

Through his advanced studies in film, Jason has developed a profound understanding of storytelling, craftsmanship, and collaboration. He believes that his expertise in both picture editing and sound design enhances all facets of his work as a filmmaker, particularly in narrative development—he is, at heart, a film dude who cares deeply about sound.

At Away We Go Productions, Jason brings this dual focus on image and sound to our games and media, helping refine pacing, rhythm, and emotional clarity across projects so that every story we tell feels cohesive, immersive, and genuinely resonant for neurodivergent audiences.
